What the hell was I thinking…I don’t like apples…so why would I think that I would like the Apple State. It’s true what they say…the apple does not fall from the tree. In the case of Washington they don’t even roll away. 

 My arrival to apple country was on July 3rd on this year and it was a refreshing welcome in comparison to Oregon…but I will not even go there…Oregon is a blog entry to it self, talk about time warp…weird.  But back to Washington, its beautiful full of trees, clean air, a real gem if you like that and only that about a place.  Unfortunately you have to deal with the people that live here though…not as gem like as they make you believe…they are really not nice.  I don’t know maybe its my Southern California up bringing and that is my bases for comparison, you know of friendly people that say hi to strangers and just want the world to be their friends…here in appleville…not so. It’s like I am in the town of Stamford…not Redmond and not only the women are robots but so are the men…controlled by their children.  Kids here are the only ones that have fun, they play to wee hours in the night have their rides scattered all over the parking lot and I can see them just telling their emotionless parents what they want and where they want to go…a three year old has more power then a 30 year old here.  They also move sooooooo slow, today for example I went to pick up Matt at his work and a man was driving at 30 miles an hour…on the highway…get the hell off…take the damn streets.  The bad thing is that they are taking the streets as well…it takes them 5 min to get out of the freaking parking lot.  Oh and don’t think that they are old folks…no…thirty something’s at times even twenty something’s are behind the wheel.  But if you try to get in front of them that is when they speed up, they even have signs that read “report aggressive drivers” and its a picture of a car margining in between two cars in traffic…the really have egos the size of their head or bigger…because only self-centered over righteous goons act that way…”I am so special that I take my time and make you wait, oh…but what you want to go ahead of me…oh no you can’t…I work of Microsoft…you need to wait and go after me”.  And then there is the stare down…as they roll by in front of you at 2 miles an hour as you are trying to get out of the parking lot…its like “look at me making you wait and if you make a move or a single facial expression I will go even slower…so cool it”.  So hence to say… I do not like apple pie.  And most importantly…we are out of here…see you back in sunny California
